Each December we hold our Indiana Statewide Annual Meeting. This meeting is attended by managers, employees, and board members of 36 rural electric membership corporations (REMCs). Approximately 800 attend this yearly function. …I knew that I would need to acquire speakers that would capture the attention of all those in attendance. With our diverse membership, I knew it would be a difficult task. Also, our industry is facing a lot of challenges and changes. We are facing what is known as electric utility deregulation. We all can remember the turmoil we endured when the telephone industry was allowed to deregulate!
